"I thoroughly enjoyed being part of Yeshi's journey, which has educated me on fistula. This book is very engaging and incorporates different African cultures to educate the reader on the epidemic which unfortunately so many women experience today. Definitely worth reading- we must raise awareness of fistula!!"

"A difficult topic - fistula. beautifully told, through the main character Yeshialem accompanied by beautiful artwork. I love how Diallo weaved in African culture and history into the story. I enjoyed reading the book and highly recommend it to others."

"Yeshialem Learns About Fistula, is one of the best book I have ever read, I have learnt so much about not just fistula but about African cultures in general, the author Habiba Cooper Diallo is an extremely clever young lady, I appreciate the way she weaved in culture, language and social customs in the book, the book is both enlightening for children and adults. We desperately need more books like this, not just in the Black and African community, but in several sectors such as health care and educational institutions, in schools, in homes, for men, for teenagers. Yeshialem Learns about Fistula is revolutionary in its own right."
